Happy Spooktober! 🦇🌕 It’s my favourite time of the year, so here’s a vampire lady revelling in the moonlight to show how much I love the season. I had a lot of fun applying colour to this and getting the moonlight glow.

Colour illustration of Maria Renard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I wanted a more challenging camera angle, and to include one her animals. I went back and forth on how much detail to put into the castle background; in the end I decide to focus on the character. This was super fun to draw!

Reading Time, 2024. New inked and toned illustration. All of the screentone is a single pattern, but I wanted to play with its application to see how much lighting I could get out of it. ✨ It’s tempting to add lots of effects or different layers, but how much can I do with just black, white, and one tone pattern?
