It’s Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night! This is the second piece in this series, after my Maria Renard illustration. I wanted to convey that classic vampire smouldering loneliness — and those beautiful locks!

Happy Spooktober! 🦇🌕 It’s my favourite time of the year, so here’s a vampire lady revelling in the moonlight to show how much I love the season. I had a lot of fun applying colour to this and getting the moonlight glow.
Colour illustration of Maria Renard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I wanted a more challenging camera angle, and to include one her animals. I went back and forth on how much detail to put into the castle background; in the end I decide to focus on the character. This was super fun to draw!
You can watch a timelapse of this drawing on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
If you’ve ever played Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest on NES, you’ll recognize this scene. 💎🌪️
A motel rendez-vous gone wrong? 🌙 I wanted to attempt a more difficult colour scene for some practice.
